RECENT REFERENCES AND LETTERS OF THANKS

That so many clients take the time and effort to contact us after a tour says a lot about them and of course us. Our received recommendations and thank you letters now run into the hundreds, so with permission, we offer just the most recent. And remember, nearly 40% of Desert Detour clients return again to Morocco……….. with us.

Thanks to you and Desert Detours we have had the most incredible journey into Morocco.  We have seen so much, the scenery was fantastic, the people so friendly and the hot sunny weather in January was just a bonus.  The highlights for us were the days spent in the Sahara Desert, the trip through the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech, and wow the West Coast was spectacular!!  Being in the Sahara Desert meant such a lot to me.  If I had died and gone to heaven after that experience I would have been happy!  I though how lucky I was to have made the trip at all considering I was ill the week before we left England.  Along with Debbie [your self], Ray, a’hammed and Hassan were so helpful nothing seemed too much trouble.  We didn’t feel brave enough to go on our own to Morocco, so we shoes Desert Detours to introduce us to the country.  Apart from such a fabulous tour Ray you have given us the confidence to return to Morocco on our own.  We cannot wait to return to this safe beautiful country.  To anyone else I would say go with an open mind, it is safe and it is a country not to be missed.  Love and thanks from us both. Val and Julian.

I would like to thank you and your team for a truly memorable holiday.  You have obviously had many years of experience, balancing the difficult contrasts that Morocco entails.  I enjoyed the desert and raw beauty of the country, the warmth of the people and the energy of the emerging tourist industry.  It was excellent.  Thank you very much.

Dear Ray, Hope you are having a well deserved rest before your return to Morocco with the March 08 Tour.  We had a FANTASTIC time and have the most enormous respect and gratitude for you, Hassan and Ahammed for everything you did to give us such a memorable trip.  We all hope we will have the chance to do another trip before you think about retiring! Thank you again, so very, very much and hope to see you and Debbie again before too long

Hi Ray, Debbie and Becky, we are still on our way home from our trip with you.  Had the most fabulous adventure and met some great people.  Loved Morocco and as its our 25th wedding anniversary Sept 2009 we would like to know more about the trip Ray is doing then.  That’s if he will have us.

Cynthia and I just had the greatest time. The variance of scenery was just stunning, with our favourite being Erg Chebbie, and to think the flood nearly deprived us of that visit!

We felt that the whole country was fascinating, thought-provoking, sensuous, certainly different, but above all we found the people utterly captivating and charming. Certainly they try to sell you their wares, but that's their job and we were never hassled, jostled or diddled anywhere. As you say in blurb, don't expect to stay on five star sites, and we were very happy with where we spent every night. Each campsite was different but without you and Desert Detours we would not have spent a night with three sheperds and their flocks, a night with the monkeys in the Cedar Forest, or most of all, three nights at Erg Chebbie Dunes. We felt that we not only visited Morocco, which was certainly an adventure, but we got under its skin, and there are very few countries where we have felt that.

Many thanks to Hassan, A’Hamid and yourself for a memorable holiday and please send us details of the new tour, any dates and we hope to be there.!

Ray, you lucky B#######.......Any chance of a job!
